Personal Experience

Jeniece Nelson-Brown was called to the Jamaican bar in 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the West Indies, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies and the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School. After graduation she worked with the Government of Jamaica as a Clerk of Court from 1997 – 2000 and an Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2000 to 2005. Thereafter she ventured into private practice in the areas of Criminal and Civil Litigation, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, Family law and Estate Planning. She is a partner at the law firm of Nelson-Brown, Guy & Francis, Attorneys-at-Law. Mrs. Nelson-Brown provides consultancy services to TWP Attorneys-at-Law primarily in the areas of Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, Family Law, and Estate Planning. A former Chairman of the Rent Assessment Board, Mrs. Nelson-Brown enjoys attending cultural and Reggae festivals, and mentoring law students and young Counsel at the bar.
