Kaysian Kennedy


Mrs. Kennedy-Sherman was admitted to practice at the Jamaican Bar in 2010 after attaining a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) where she earned a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons.) Mrs. Kennedy-Sherman’s journey with the Firm began as an intern in 2009. She was appointed an associate in 2010, promoted to the position of Senior Associate in May of 2013 and to the position of Partner in 2016. Mrs. Kennedy-Sherman serves as the Business Lead for Branch Services and Co-Chair for Litigation across all divisions and branches at Townsend, Whyte & Porter. She is the head of the branches of Townsend, Whyte & Porter located in Montego Bay, St. James and Port Antonio, Portland. She specializes in Criminal and Civil Litigation. Her practice areas include, Personal Injury Law, Family Law including Divorce, Maintenance (Children and Spouse) Division of Matrimonial Property, Contentious and Non-Contentious Probate and Administration of Estates and Conveyancing.

She serves as a Student Mentor and a Trial Advocacy Trainer at the Norman Manley Law School and is a former member of the Criminal Practice and Procedure Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association. She is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and the Advocates Association of Jamaica.
